Joyous meeting.
I have been a member of our Church of All Worlds since the summer of 1996 and a Scion since the fall of 1998. I am currently a Postulant. I am serving as the Director of Lifeways (still under construction) . I have a nest in Florida -- Dragon Egg Nest (DEN) . I am part of the Phoenix Festivals Phamily, a festival group that has been holding Festivals in Florida since 1992. I am organizing an Earth Day Festival for the last weekend in April. It is sponsored by Phoenix Festivals and All World Acres. I have just taken the post of Youth Director for the All World Acres' Earth Spirituality Youth Camp. I participate in the Pagan Pride Day Project for the Northeast Florida area. I have been asked to hold a workshop and will have a CAW Information Booth at the 2003 event. I am also currently working on a Pagan and Neopagan City Park Tree Planting in Jacksonville for Earth Day 2003. I teach workshops at festivals and more privately for groups or individuals. I write for Crescent Magazine please purchase the magazine and look for my by-line. I have a personal profile at the
Witches' Voice, of which I am proud to be a sponsoring member. I am blessed with a very large and diverse community and I strive daily to both serve it and learn from it.
My favorite concept from Robert A. Heinlein's Stranger in a Strange Land
is Thou art God. As a Pantheist I take the affirmation, Thou art God,
literally. The last two lines of chapter Thirty-seven in Stranger In A
Strange Land, stay with me always: "An incautious grasshopper came
whirring to a landing on the grass a few inches from his face; Mike
turned his head, looked at it as it stared back at him. 'Thou art God,'
he said happily and discorporated."
My pre-CAW background runs like this: Starting with Southern Baptist
Christian, then turned Methodist briefly, then turned Episcopalian, then
Kosher Christian-Jew/ non-domination military wife, to confused and
searching, then to Zen for a few years, then turned Unitarian
Universalist for a couple of years before finding my home here in CAW. I
learned a lot along the way, things that are important to do and things
to avoid as part of my religious practice. So, I feel fairly confident
as I advance my commitment to Our World, our World Community, and our
Church, that I am on the best path for me. I hope this brief
introduction has been useful to you. If you like you can visit my web
page to read a bit more, or read my scion essay to see what my earlier
journey was like.
I offer a cup of cool clear water, and I say to you; "Water shared is life shared, drink deep and never thirst."
